About the project

Why Roots & Routes?

In Europe, hundreds of thousands of young migrants grow up without equitable access to education, without adequate inclusion tools and without references to help them build a meaningful future.

Roots & Routes was created to change that — through transnational cooperation, shared best practices and the professional development of everyone who works with them.

👥
Young migrants in Europe (13–21) Young people in reception centres, community homes, schools and youth services across Europe — regardless of their specific background.
🎓
Professionals working with young migrants Educators, teachers, social workers, youth workers, psychologists, cultural mediators, animators and volunteers — anyone whose work brings them into contact with young migrants.
🏛️
Organisations & local communities Schools, municipalities, NGOs, reception centres and stakeholders who benefit from replicable methodologies and a culture of inclusion.
